Automatic labelling line for minced meat sticks

with weight control, labelling and automatic cartoning

Requirement

The company Peter Mattfeld & Sohn GmbH needed a new line for weighing, labelling and packaging minced meat in plastic casings in order to manufacture more efficiently and safeguard the production process. The scale system should fulfil the control of products of equal weight in accordance with the pre-packaging regulations and record the required statistics. In addition, the system should be equipped with an interface to the upstream filling line and optimise the filling process via a tendency control.

Solution

The labelling line starts with automatic weight control in accordance with the Pre-pack Ordinance and ejects the affected products if they are over- or underweight. A tendency controller communicates the fill quantity to the upstream filling station for automatic regulation. After subsequent labelling, the round minced meat sticks are conveyed to the drying area, where they are automatically cartoned.
