Ex zone – what now?

The operator of potentially explosive work areas (Ex zones) must observe legal occupational health and safety standards. In order to prevent a possible explosion in this work area, only devices that are suitable for this purpose due to their device protection are permitted there. With a Höfelmeyer ATEX solution, you receive certified systems that are explicitly suitable for this purpose.

Usage requirements for the solutions:

Your process is our measure of the ATEX solution to be realised. Due to the flexibility of our systems, we can respond to standardised or individual requirements and act adequately. Whether manual, semi-automatic or fully automatic – with or without interaction with other systems – the choice is yours! If the process requires further legal requirements for the use of the solution, we also have the answers.

Use in legal-for-trade service:

Just like our weighing solutions for operation in safe areas (non-Ex), Ex scales can also be used in legal-for-trade service, if required even in an Ex zone. This can be done as automatic filling scales, totalling scales or as non-automatic scales. You are not sure whether they “calibrated” or “non-calibrated” – we can also contribute our expertise in this area. The conformity assessment procedure required for this is in our hands and does not require any special action on your part.
